Get ready to trick or treat in style with these spooky Halloween tote bags! Choose between the three designs – Jack-O-Lantern, Frankenstein or the Black Cat – and head out for a night of frights and delights!

With plenty of diagrams and easy to read instructions, this is a great project for kids who have sewing machine experience.

Material Requirements:
Use woven fabrics such as quilting cotton.

• Bag Exterior fabric: 1/3 yard (solid orange for Jack-O-Lantern Bag or Black Cat bag, solid green for Frankenstein bag)
• Bag Lining fabric: 1/3 yard if non-directional; 1/2 yard if directional
• 2/3 yard of fusible interfacing, such as Pellon SF101 or 911FF
• 1-1/3 yard of 1″ wide cotton webbing (black)

Felt yardage needed (assumes 36″ wide bolt):
Jack-O-Lantern Bag:Or purchase a kit here!
– 1/4 yard black felt
– 1/8 yard dark green felt

Black Cat Bag:Or purchase a kit here!
– 1/3 yard black felt
– 1/8 yard lime green felt
– 1/8 yard pink felt

Frankenstein Bag:Or purchase a kit here!
– 1/4 yard white felt
– 1/4 yard black felt
– 1/8 yard gray felt

Tools Needed:

• Fabric scissors
• Pins
• Iron
• Ruler
• Fabric marking tool, such as chalk
