These embroidered splash patterns were used to “protect the wallpaper” behind basins of water during the late 1800s. Our collection depicts four attractive water scenes first featured in an 1898 Dry Goods catalog. Each splash pattern is approximately 17″ x 11″. Trace onto cloth and stitch to your heart’s content.
