Swing your way into Summer with the flowy Luna Tank by Helen’s Closet!

This top is designed for knit fabrics.  Dress Luna up by pairing it with a maxi skirt, or keep it casual by pairing it with your favorite shorts or jeans. The pattern accommodates sizes 0-34 (33″-62″ hip).  Please note that the pattern calls for a raw hem, but we will be creating a finished hem in the class.  Also, the pattern is a FREE download!

In this series, students will gain experience sewing with knit fabrics. This class is suitable for intermediate garment sewers – prior sewing with knits fabric is helpful but not required. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

Required Materials:

• (1) FREE PDF Pattern: Luna Tank by Helen’s Closet – see pattern note below
• fabric – refer to the pattern for fabric requirements based on your size
• (1) spool of polyester thread

PDF Pattern Note:

• Students must purchase and download the PDF pattern from Helen’s Closet’s website. Upon purchase, students are required to email proof of purchase to Kaitlin (Class Program Manager) at classes.
• Once proof of PDF pattern is received, Urban Sewciety will print a wide-format copy of the PDF pattern and provide it to students on the day of class.
• Students are responsible for printing out the instructions for the pattern and bringing it to class with them.

Recommended Fabrics:

• Luna is designed for knit fabrics with at least 20% stretch horizontally and vertically. Our shop sample is made in Hemp Jersey fabric.

Required Tools:

• fabric scissors or rotary cutter + acrylic ruler
• seam ripper
• pins and/or wonder clips
• chalk and/or frixion marker
