The Noodlehead Making Backpack Sewing Pattern is a backpack that’s perfect in its simplicity, but also great for customising. Choose your favourite canvas (prints or solids) or waxed canvas and get to work creating your very own custom backpack. Features include a front slip pocket, interior zip pocket, adjustable shoulder straps and useful top handles.

Materials needed:

Requirements based on 44″ wide fabric

• 1m of exterior fabric
• 1 m of lining fabric
• 1.8m of fusible woven interfacing
• 1m of medium weight fusible interfacing
• 0.4m of foam stabiliser
• 2 x 1 ½” wide rectangle rings & 2 x 1 ½” wide strap sliders
• 22” zipper for top closure
• 8” zipper for interior zip pocket
• 1m of cotton webbing for top handles
• 2.2 m of cotton webbing for straps
• 3.2 m of straight-grain 12 mm wide double fold binding
